Scattered throughout the Midwest and many other parts of the country, on backroads, in small towns, and on the corner of crossroads; are churches.
These buildings are iconic symbols for the local communities. Full of both faith and contradiction. Their existence is one of symbolism, comfort, and conspiracy. The steeple, bold and tall, can be recognized from far and wide as easily as a certain fast food chain arches. All these factors contribute to the same goal, as a space for a temporary escape.
