MY story

If we’re meeting for the first time, here’s what you should know about me.

Photography didn’t start as a business plan. It started with paying attention. I grew up in Rockford, and a lot of my early years with a camera were just me noticing small moments. The way light falls at the end of the day. The way people interact when they forget they’re being watched.

Over time, I realized it was never about the location. It’s always been about people.

The deep breath before walking down the aisle. The quick glance. The unplanned laugh. Those are the moments that matter.

When I’m photographing you, I’m not trying to turn your day into a production. I’ll guide you when you need direction and step back when you don’t. A lot of couples tell me I’m one of the calmest parts of their day, and that means everything to me.

Before I ever show up with a camera, I want to know who you are and what matters to you. The goal isn’t just beautiful photos. It’s photos that feel like you years from now.

Outside of photography, I’m a huge hockey fan who never learned how to skate, and I collect wristwatches from different decades. I like things that age well. That probably explains my approach better than anything.

If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d love to connect.
